The Betts Family

Terry Betts

Terry is a respected trainer whose philosopy that happy horses make for happy people sets the tone for the entire Pebblestone experience.

He teaches, trains and runs Penning clinics that are designed to give both horse and human a newfound respect for each other.

Sue Betts

Sue wears many hats, and they all fit her beautifully. She is a sought after team member for team cattle penning, has the biggest smile in the barn and along with Terry, enjoys providing a place where boarders can experience 'horse happiness'.

This dynamo is also a full time teacher in Oshawa.

Melissa Betts

Melissa rides like the wind,,,, just like her Mom and Dad, and also has championship buckles to show her ability in team penning.

Melissa is a certified elementary school teacher who is pursuing a career in her chosen path. . While the Oshawa Ski Club is where she spends her weekends instructing skiing in the winter, Pingles Farm Market is her home away from home where she is involved in all aspects of the business.

When she isn't working (which isn't very often), she can be found riding her horse and being a great racecar fan.

Tyler Betts

Tyler is an integral part of the smooth running of the farm.  From operating machinery to fixing anything that needs fixing, Tyler can do it all.  No job is too big, too small or too complicated! Because of his expertise in many areas, Tyler is a Mechanical Maintenance and Control Technician at OPG.

Tyler keeps very busy during the winter instructing everyday at the Oshawa Ski Club. His efforts haven't gone unnoticed as he is the proud recipient of the Ski Instructor of the Year award 2007/2008 given out by the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance.
