Pebblestone is home to the Pebblestone Fall/Winter Penning Series which is held from November through May

Team Cattle Penning

This fast paced, exciting event gives a team of three riders 90 seconds to separate three specifically numbered cattle from a herd of twenty-one.

After the necessary cattle have been separated they must be driven into a small pen located at the opposite end of the arena. And, to make things more difficult, no more than four cattle are allowed across the foul line at one time or the team is automatically disqualified.

Teamwork is of the essence; individuals must work together like a finely tuned machine to achieve the desired result - the fastest time with the most cattle penned.

* Ratings: Riders are rated according to their experience and skill at Team Cattle Penning. A higher rating indicates a more skilled or experienced penner, with beginner or novice penners rated 1.

A Letter From Terry and Sue:

September 26, 2007

Dear friends and fellow penners,

After much consideration and soul searching, we have decided not to continue with our winter penning. This was not an easy decision but we feel it is the right time to cut back our workload and time commitments. We have had a great time over the past 10 years hosting our weekly penning and will miss the people and action that was so enjoyable on Sunday afternoons. We will continue to focus our time and efforts on the day to day operation of our facility.

Once again, we would like to thank all who have participated.

During the Spring & Summer, some of our Pebblestone Penners travel to compete in other competitions such as the Eastern Ontario Team Penning Association in Codrington. Penning results from any Pebblestone Penners who are travelling to competitions will be posted.
